Based on the 2019 vintage but complemented by reserve wines drawn from a solera established in 2015, the newly disgorged NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Les Gras d’Huile delivers aromas of pear, confit citrus, nectarine, freshly baked bread and wheat toast, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and textural palate that’s layered and structured, with lively acids and a long, saline finish. Even more vinous and concentrated than the 2018-based wine, it has immense potential. It won’t reach the market until early next year, so readers will have to be patient.
