Winemaking
Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and old oak barrels. Aged on lees for 6 months. Second fermentation in bottle with a minimum ageing in lees for 42 months and without final dosage (Brut Nature).
Description
Jeaunaux Robin Fil de Brume Brut Nature is a sparkling wine produced in France from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties.
The name of this wine translates from French as Thread of Mist, and comes from the way the mist covers the valley in the mornings, as the vineyards of this wine are located in a 5.7 hectares plot, in the valley of Petit Morin, southeast of the Côte des Blancs region.
Winemaking
The winemaking process involves a natural fermentation using indigenous yeasts, in stainless steel containers and barrels. This is followed by ageing on the lees and then blending with bâtonnage, followed by storage for 6 months, then a second fermentation and ageing on the lees for 3 years and 5 months.
Taste
Jeaunaux Robin Fil de Brume Brut Nature has a clean, fresh taste with spicy notes based on a ripe but assertive acidity. Green fruit aromas can also be perceived, with smoky notes and floral hints. Finally it leaves on the palate a chalky flavour characteristic of the vintage from which it was made.
A smoky and intense wine
It should be noted that this wine is a Brut Nature, that is to say, it has no added sugar in the second fermentation, which makes it a dry wine with an intense body.
The wine Jeaunaux Robin Fil de Brume BrutNatural is perfect to accompany a good seafood dish, oysters or crabs. It is also ideal with sushi or smoked salmon or oily fish, as well as with pork or a soft and creamy cheese.
Cheers! What are you waiting for to enjoy a good wine? Let us know what you thought.
