Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The true novelty here is a completely new wine, the NV Cream VOS. In the last few years it seems like the creams are coming out of the closet, like people do not feel ashamed anymore to offer a sweet wine (as long as it’s a quality one). This is a blend of Palomino (their Oloroso VORS) and their sweet, youngish (only VOS) Pedro Ximénez. The bottled wine has 127 grams of sugar, but does not really feel very sweet; it is quite balanced, but could do with some more freshness. Compared with the Palo Cortado, it smells quite a lot of raisins and dates. I still prefer their dry wines. This is a small lot of 500 bottles.
