Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
I tasted the 2018-base NV Brut Nature Frénésie Meunier from a bottle disgorged à la volée for our tasting, with the wine slated for disgorgement without dosage a few months later. Evoking crisp orchard fruit, toasted notes, citrus oil, freshly baked bread and smoke, it’s a medium to full-bodied, tangy and incisive wine that’s saline and sapid, derived from a parcel of Pinot Meunier from Vrigny. I’m looking forward to seeing it after a year or two on cork to unwind.

Description
Champagne A. Lamblot Frénésie Meunier is a liquid jewel that comes from the prestigious Montagne de Reims region. This champagne stands out for being a 100% Meunier Assemblage, a variety that gives it a distinctive character.
Winemaking
Made in Vrigny, this wine has been classified as Premier Cru. Its elaboration follows organic practices certified by Ecocert and although it is not certified, it also follows biodynamic practices aligned with the lunar calendar. With an alcohol content of 12%, this champagne does not undergo malolactic fermentation unless it occurs spontaneously. It is aged in oak barrels and contains no sulphur dioxide additives. After 24 months in contact with its lees, it is disgorged by hand, a technique known as «à la volée». With no sulphur dioxide added and no final dosage, it presents itself as a rare, intensely fruity and highly complex Blanc de Meunier.
